Danish energy and climate minister Jorgensen said Denmark hopes to increase natural gas production from existing oil fields in the North Sea by as much as 25%.

Danish Prime Minister Fraser rikson said that Denmark can effectively end its natural gas supply to Russia next year by supplying from the North Sea. However, she also pointed out that since Denmark is part of the European gas network, it is necessary for other countries to get rid of their supply dependence on Russia.

The Danish government has also proposed plans to significantly increase the power generation capacity of renewable energy such as wind and solar energy, as well as a unified carbon tax on corporate emissions. The government plans to increase the output of wind power and onshore solar power by 4 times to 8 GW in a year.
